License Center Supervisor

Murray County is taking applications for a full-time License Center Supervisor. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Duties include but not limited to:  This position manages the county’s License Center. The position ensures recordability of documents and manages collections process.  This position is also responsible for maintaining inventory supply records and representing the County at various meetings.

Qualifications: High School diploma/GED and three years working in customer service. Valid MN Driver’s License. Desired Qualifications: Supervisory experience and clerical experience in government.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be Title Clerk Certified and maintain every three years;
  • Must be registered as a notary;
  • Must be able to work with others in a team environment and to communicate effectively with members of the public, and officials or employees from other organizations and departments;
  • Establish precedents and Department objectives;
  • Ability to learn and web-based DVS program as well as MN DNR computer program;
  • Must follow and implement laws established by the State of Minnesota;
  • Must communicate with the public, other departments, and other agencies in a professional manner.

Salary Range: $19.95 -$25.94 per hour

Regular Full-time Recycling Center Worker Tri-County Recycling Center

Murray County is taking applications for a full-time Recycling Center Worker.  Days worked will be Monday – Friday.

Application packets may be obtained at the Murray County Coordinator’s Office, located in the Courts Building. Position open until filled, the first review of applications will be January 18, 2018.

Qualifications: H.S. Diploma/GED and a valid driver’s license are required. Ability to obtain a forklift certificate within three months.

Duties include:

  • Sorting commingled recyclable material into homogenous bulk shipments.
  • Operate conveyor and baler shipment of plastic and paper products.
  • Run conveyor and glass crusher to reduce shipping space for different colored glass.
  • Maneuver forklifts to unload trailers, move recyclable materials within the building and load trucks.
  • Carry out regular preventive maintenance on equipment, which includes minor mechanical repairs on the equipment and building, and ensure an adequate inventory of supplies is maintained.
  • Record weights from a platform scale; communicate with visitors on how to recycle, and complete necessary janitorial services to keep the center clean and orderly.
