Murray County is taking applications for a part-time Dispatcher/Jailer. Variety of rotating shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

This purpose of this position is to answer 911 calls and dispatch responding units (Law, Fire, EMS and First Responders) with accurate and timely information via the paging system and ARMER radio. This position exercises independent judgement in transmitting law enforcement information and responding to inquiries, complaints, and requests for emergency and non-emergency calls for service. This position assumes responsibility of prisoners brought into Murray County holding cell and records all actions taken by prisoner and arresting order.
Qualifications: Minimum of a High School diploma/GED and a valid MN Driver’s License.
Desired Qualifications: One year of experience in 911 Center and bi-lingual skills in English and Spanish.
Requirements: Ability to analyze emergency calls and respond to the call calmly, quickly and accurately; Ability to use a dispatch radio to communicate effectively presenting information clearly and accurately; Ability to read, write and speak English and ability to listen to and follow instructions; Ability to ask specific questions to get results; Must be able to make decisions quickly and meet deadlines.
Salary: $15.91 – $19.88 per hour
SITE COORDINATOR – END-O-LINE
Murray County is taking applications for a part-time Site Coordinator. This position is 30 hours per week.

The purpose if this position is to assist the Museum Coordinator in the everyday work at the End O Line. During the End O Line off season this position will assist at the Museum and Dinehart Holt House.
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and six months work experience in a similar institution. Valid Driver’s License required.
Preferred Qualifications: Four year degree in History, Museum Studies or a comparable field. Knowledge of Murray County and Minnesota history and area tourist attractions; Skilled in using Microsoft Office products; Skilled in public speaking; Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse audiences, agencies, school officials, the media, and other County departments, funders, donors, and others contacted in the course of work.
Salary: $14.35 – $17.94 per hour
RECYCLING CENTER WORKER
Murray County is taking applications for a part-time Recycling Center Worker. This position is 28 hours per week.

The purpose of this position is to sorting commingled recyclable material into homogeneous bulk shipments; operate conveyor and baler shipment of plastic and paper products; run conveyor and glass crusher to reduce shipping space for different colored glass; maneuver forklifts to unload trailers, move recyclable materials within the building and load trucks; carry out regular preventive maintenance on equipment, which includes minor mechanical repairs on the equipment and building, and ensure an adequate inventory of supplies is maintained; and record weights from a platform scale; communicate with visitors on how to recycle, and complete necessary janitorial services to keep the center clean and orderly.
Qualifications: H.S. Diploma/GED and a valid driver’s license are required. Ability to obtain a forklift certificate within three months.
Salary: $13.64 – $17.06 per hour
