Intermittent Housekeeper Sunrise Terrace

Murray County is accepting applications for an intermittent Housekeeper at Sunrise Terrace. Hours will be as needed.

Position open until filled. First review of applications will be July 28, 2020. 

Duties Include: This position is responsible for providing a sanitary and safe environment for the tenants and guests of Sunrise Terrace. The position is also responsible for observing and reporting any repairs of equipment or furnishings of the establishment.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of a High School diploma/GED.

Requirements: Knowledge of the basic housekeeping equipment and how to operate it; ability to conform and follow an established daily housekeeping schedule; ability to work with staff and tenants in a helpful and cooperative manner; valid MN Driver’s License.

Salary:$13.94 – $18.12 per hour

Deputy Recorder

Murray County is accepting applications for a regular full time Deputy Recorder. Normal hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Position open until filled. First review of applications will be July 23, 2020. 

Duties Include: This position assists the County Recorder on being a custodian of all real estate records of the County pertaining to property titles. In addition, this position is responsible for reviewing all documents to ensure they meet legal requirements for recording, collecting and receipting appropriate fees, scanning and indexing documents, returning documents to presenter, providing accurate and timely recording of documents and accepting and processing passport applications. This position is expected to provide high-quality customers service regarding department issues, documents and concerns.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and a two year degree or two years of experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. Valid Driver’s License.

Requirements: Knowledge of metes and bounds, Torrens and platting conventions associated with property records; knowledge of statutory requirements and best practices for recording documents; Obtain and maintain passport training and certification; Ability to use a microfilm reader/scanner; Skill to utilize mathematical formulas; add and subtract; multiply and divide totals; determine percentages; determine time and weight; and interpret same, as may be appropriate; Ability to efficiently utilize time and resources available to complete tasks and meet tight deadlines; Aptitude to read a variety of professional, technical and administrative documentation, directions, regulations, instructions, methods and procedures.

Salary: $19.77 – $25.70 per hour

Intermittent Deputy Sheriff

Murray County is taking applications for a regular part-time Deputy Sheriff and a intermittent Deputy Sheriff.  Hours are a combination of days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Position open until filled.

Duties Include: The purpose of this position is to protect life and property in Murray County and to enforce City Ordinances, County, State and Federal Laws. Duties include but are not limited to investigating criminal activity; interviewing victims, interrogating suspects; writing reports; responding to accidents; civil process; prisoner transport; evidence collection; serving warrants; executing of court orders; responding to law enforcement related calls and assist the County Sheriff.

Qualifications: Minimum of a High School diploma/GED and two-year degree in law enforcement or related field.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed by the Minnesota Peace Officers Standards and Training Board and attend at least 48 hours continuing education every three years;
  • Valid MN Driver’s License;
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations;
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals;
  • Ability to use leadership skills, to verbalize orders/commands so that the public and staff understand exactly what is being said and expected;
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals;
  • Must have received Bureau of Criminal Apprehension CJIS certification within one year of date of hire.

 Salary Range: $24.96 – $32.45 per hour
