8:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 21, 2024
Until: 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 4, 2024  
(The Government Center will be closed Monday, May 27, 2024 in observance of Memorial Day)

How much does it cost to file?
County Commissioner Filing Fee: $50
Soil & Water District Supervisor Filing Fee: $20

Is there a form I will need to fill out?
A candidate needs to fill out an Affidavit of Candidacy in order to file for office. (A campaign manual and other useful forms related to campaign finance, political signs, IRS filing requirements or precinct, polling place and voter information request forms are available by clicking here)

Can I change my mind after I file?
A candidate can withdraw if they file an Affidavit of Withdrawal form in the Auditor-Treasurer’s Office by June 6, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.

Two (2) candidates can be on the November 5, 2024 ballot for each county office

What happens if more than 2 candidates file?
A primary election will be held on August 13, 2024 to narrow the pool down to 2 candidates, if needed.
